Jesus -The Model of Humility

Take time to be in silent prayer. One must be still to hear God. Then as your day goes on notice those things that stir your heart. Sometimes they are new wonderful feelings, joy about where you are, what you are doing, other times they are God's graces working on refining you to holiness, such as catching yourself when you are about to say something hurtful or inappropriate. These little acts of correction can really change you. Follow the little, subtle voice that wants you, that loves you, and stay with as long as possible. Work on reducing complaining and counter it with gratitude, replace anger with peace, worry with trust, negativity with positivity, Focus on the journey Christ made to the cross.

Lenten Prayer

Almighty and Everlasting God,
You have given the human race
Jesus Christ our Savior as a model of humility.
He fulfilled Your Will by becoming Man
And giving His life on the Cross.
Help us to bear witness to You
By following His example of suffering
And make us worthy to share in His Resurrection.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son.
