Rejoice always; pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.1 Thessalonians 5:16-18To begin to commence in the spiritual life one must start from a grateful heart. Our Loving Father delights in the gratitude of His children. Our life is a total gift from the Creator, every second, every breath, every tear, every joy and every experience. In His giving us our life, He is also giving us eternal life and in that hope, knowing that to follow His will leads us to a place that exceeds our imagination. A grateful heart is a generous heart for a grateful heart is like a stomach full after a delicious meal, satisfied and seeking and expecting no more . Rather desiring to share this bounty of love to others. A grateful heart feels and appreciates the little moments in life that all to often pass by unnoticed. A grateful heart sees the handiwork of God in all nature. A grateful heart desires to express the joy within it; praising and rejoicing for the goodness of the Lord. When the Magi found the Christ child after their long journey they fell on their knees and presented Him with expensive gifts. We too can fall on our knees and present to Him our gift of thanks in gratitude in everything we do. God Bless.
